Jiao Baolin was born in Jiangsu Haian, June 1942. He was graduated from the Arts College of Nanjing Art College in 1962. And he established Haian Tie-dye factory in 1979. In 1993, he established Haian Jinhua Garment Co., Ltd. He is work as general manager, art director and Chairman until now. He was awarded as the title of "Chinese National Master of Arts&Crafts" by China government,  "First Level Folk Arts&Crafts" by UNESCO and China Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art. Besides, he also won many other awards. Now, he is China folk and art association member, Chinese arts and crafts association member, director of Jiangsu art and craft association, vice chairman of Nantong art association and honorary chairman of Haian artist association.

Jiao Baolin is the founder of Haian tie-dye, leader of China tie-dye industry and representative inheritance of Nantong intangible cultural heritage Nantong tie-dye. For more than 30 years, he has been engaged in the research and development, creation of tie-dye, and leadership work of the enterprise. His works are widely used in the industries like: clothing, commodity, art works and so on. His works have wide range of subjects, various forms and different styles. His works have won many prizes and collected by museums and international friends.
